STREET STORIES: Baton Rouge Rapper Young Ready Shot And Killed!!

(from Smoking Section)

Only two years after Lil Snupe was killed, Louisiana has lost another one. Just 100 miles out of his hometown Baton Rouge, 31-year-old Young Ready was shot and killed Tuesday, June 23 in Bogulasa, Louisiana. Ready and another victim were both found dead in a vehicle, per a report byThe Advocate.

Ready released a steady stream of music over his career with plenty of regional love. For those unfamiliar with his material, Ready was best known for “It’s Up There,” which saw the crew bagging up product and squeezing imaginary triggers at the camera. A trap rapper by nature, Ready’s ability to portray the situations around him managed to draw new listeners in while staying true to his block.
Born Shannen Hudsen and now rapping as Racked Up Ready, the rapper had just finished a 30-city tour and his manager Tony Guidry reported Ready was close to finalizing a deal with Interscope Records.

Hudsen leaves behind four children, all under the age of four-years-old. His mother, Lydid Hudsen, told reporters, “He was just a big baby. He was never gonna go long without touching base with me. He was a ‘momma’s boy.’ He always wanted to make sure that mom was OK.”
With the temperature rising for the summer months, let’s all do our part to keep the peace out here.
