Count Young Dolph as one of the few rappers out who still manages to live the life he spits in his lyrics. Dolph was arrested on Tuesday afternoon in Memphis for drug possession and violation of vehicle registration charges, according to a report by Fox13-Memphis. It all started when an officer reportedly spotted the purveyor of High Class Street Music cruising through the city in a 2015 Rolls Royce without any tag information. The officer pulled Dolph over, and supposedly smelled the loud while walking up on the vehicle.
As the cops were running his info, it was discovered that the 30-year-old rapper had an active warrant in Birmingham, AL. and the police also claimed to find what appeared to be marijuana and seeds in the driver’s side floorboard. Dolph, real name Adolph Thorton, was placed in a squad car…and the report indicates the officer still smelled the pungent odor of weed so they searched the rapper and found a small bag of what appeared to be more skrong in his sock.
Don’t worry about pressing up any ‘Free Dolph’ tees yet. The Paper Route Empire CEO had his bond set at only $100 and will appear before a judge on Wednesday.
